Each child is born with unique gifts.
With that in mind, our mission is to:

Develop each student’s unique talent by providing an inspiring space where challenging, project-based academics are integrated with social, artistic, and physical learning experiences.
Create a setting where children of all backgrounds feel safe to be themselves, are avid learners, and care enough to make a difference in the lives of others.

Recognize that instilling a sense of empathy, tolerance, and acceptance for others is crucial to help our students become strong, resilient adults who care for each other and the environment.

How do we achieve our mission?
Through Project Based Learning.
Our present comes from our past...
We formed Escola Global in 2008 because we saw a need for interdisciplinary international education in Palma de Mallorca.
We wanted a school that would look at the child holistically, and imbue sustainability, equitability, community and hands-on learning into their experience.
We've worked tirelessly since then (and still do) to ensure that our curriculum, staff, and campus are at the highest standard of excellence.
We follow the English and Spanish national curriculums. Our students come from highly varied backgrounds- we have Swedish, German, Irish, American, Spanish, British...
This international mix adds another dimension to our school's special atmosphere- one that helps instill not just tolerance, but acceptance, into every day.

Healthy minds and healthy bodies
Our restaurant, Cuina Global, which is dedicated to providing our children with wholesome and tasty meals each day.
Our freshly prepared meals contain no sugar or preservatives and where possible, ingredients are organic, locally sourced and in season.
Menus vary monthly and are planned by our cooking team, lead by Head Chef Raffaela Sasse.
Raffaela has extensive experience having worked for various hotels, renowned restaurants and privately catered yachts; we feel privileged to have her cook for our students. As in most restaurants our menus can be adapted for non-meat eaters, particular intolerances, and allergies.
We encourage our students to participate in the preparation and serving of the lunches, because we want them to have hands-on experience and to understand how to create healthy and balanced nutrition for themselves.
Dynamic education includes movement
At Escola Global it is very important that our students are aware of the importance of practicing sport on a regular basis and of acquiring healthy lifestyle habits.
Through Physical Education, we work with values such as teamwork, fair play, personal improvement, and friendly competition, among many others.
We have a large, age-appropriate playground that takes advantage of our natural surroundings for our younger students.
Older Escola Global students travel to our partner, UIB's (Universidad de las Islas Baleares) Sport Campus facilities to carry out Physical Education activities.
We also partner with UIB for extended education for Years 10 and 11. This provides students with an opportunity to study both the practical and theoretical aspects of Physical Education.
Students study: Anatomy and physiology; Health, fitness and training; skill acquisition and psychology; and Social, cultural and ethical influences.
