Project Based Learning

Aprendizaje basado en proyectos PBL Project Based Learning

Project Based Learning is an educational philosophy based on real-life learning pedagogy.

Students work on a project based around a driving question or real life problem for an extended period of time.

Later, they demonstrate knowledge and skills by developing a presentation for a real audience.

Why did we choose PBL as our driving educational philosophy?

We want students who are able to:

  • Work on tasks independently, using preferred learning styles to enhance their comprehension.

  • Analyze, plan, reflect, evaluate, and make informed decisions.

  • Generate and explore ideas.

  • Find imaginative solutions to problems.

  • Collaborate in groups and learn to distribute roles and responsibilities to suit strengths and capabilities of each.

And that’s not all.

We also want them to be able to:

  • Work to a deadline.

  • Use initiative.

  • Organise activities and events- getting involved in the school’s activities.

  • Work with technology.

  • Develop strong emotional intelligence.
