Today we are celebrating the work of sculptor, photographer, environmentalist and father of four Andy Goldsworthy. His extraordinary land art and site-specific sculptures are a source of inspiration for our outdoor art, science and meditative activities.

Working directly with nature, the materials he uses include brightly coloured flowers, icicles, leaves, mud, pinecones, snow, stone, twigs, and thorns.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We especially love his ephemeral works, for which he often uses only his bare hands, teeth, and found tools to prepare and arrange materials.
