Year 1 and Year 2 (KS1) and Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 (KS2) are years in which our children build new learning through experience and prior knowledge.
Throughout this level, children are in regular contact with nature, and part of the learning takes place outside the classroom.
We focus on experimentation, manipulation, and “learning by doing”.
In KS2, lessons are strategically planned by our teachers to ensure that project-based learning is at the core of the curriculum, encouraging children to “think outside the box” and develop critical skills for personal, academic and social success. They are years in which our children develop new learning skills through experience and prior knowledge.
